急事请教：健康卡生效前的产检

6月底登陆，一个半月了，还没有拿到健康卡。预产期是10月中旬。8月初去医院做了一次B超，B超单算钱163加元。除此之外，医院要收clinic405加元，医生要收110加元。账单收到后很意外。

有相似经历的人能否告之，如何处理这种事情？健康卡生效前的产检费用如何申请减免？生效后，这些已经产生的费用是否可以报？另外收到健康卡后在医院生产真的不用收所有费用吗？

在中国一切很明了的事，到这里真是一头雾水......请有经验者指教。谢谢

U have to wait 3 months before u r covered by Ohip. U have to pay the cost before 3 months. It's expensive. Once u pass 3 months, u don't need to pay in u stay in hospital or do any check.

You can try to contact one of the Community Health Centers to get 产检 for free. Not sure how is it work now. But 12 years ago I got all my 产检 free while I was waiting for OHIP from South East Ottawa Community Health Center and Centertown Community Health Center. I had to transfer to a different Health Center because the 1st one does not have OB onsite.

Also you can ask the community center if they can pay the fee you already paid. The community center normally serves people with los income. And if you just landed and have not got a job you should fall into their category.
