Jacques Cinq-Mars was among the thousands of Canadian soldiers who landed on the beaches of Dieppe 70 years ago Sunday. It was one of the deadliest battles in Canadian history, a disastrous raid that claimed the lives of 913 Canadians soldiers within hours and resulted in another 1,900 taken as prisoners.
