Provincial government announces $20M boost for anti-violence funding

On Wednesday, Ottawa Police Chief Charles Bordeleau handed out certificates to 39 graduates from the Youth in Policing Intiative (YIPI). The summer employment program, which began in 2007, targets students between 14 and 17 years of age and gives them an opportunity to develop job skills while working with police in areas such as community development, marine patrol and fraud.
