Kanata North Councillor Marianne Wilkinson back to work after falling ill

OTTAWA — Kanata North Councillor Marianne Wilkinson returned to work Monday after a near fainting spell last week. Wilkinson, 74, was speaking at a meeting of the Association of Municipalities of Ontario last Wednesday morning when her speech slowed and she began feeling like she was going to faint. The longtime west-end politician was taken to hospital and released by early afternoon, saying she felt OK and tests hadn’t showed anything serious.
