City looks to borrow $300 million for road work, infrastructure

OTTAWA — The city’s financing costs for a $340-million road and infrastructure program are less than expected, finance staff say as the city prepares to borrow money to pay for its projects. A report to go to the city’s debenture committee on Tuesday details how the city can acquire and finance $300 million for work that council has already approved, including the Ottawa on the Move program that was part of the 2012 budget.
