Widening Hwy 174 only a short-term solution, says Cumberland group

Despite a push by their east-end councillor, some Cumberland residents aren’t sure a widening of the two-lane section of Highway 174 to four lanes is the best way forward for the region. At the very least, members of the Cumberland Community Association say, judgement should await the outcome of an environmental assessment already underway.
