Thousands of new students flooded into Ottawa’s major post-secondary institutions with mini-fridges and boxes upon boxes of clothes, cereal, shampoo and teddy bears Saturday as the University of Ottawa, Carleton University and Algonquin College opened their residences to flustered but eager freshmen.
