More than 2,500 participate in Terry Fox Run

OTTAWA — Darrell Fox stood at the finish line congratulating some of the more than 2,500 who participated in the Ottawa Terry Fox Run at Carleton University on Sunday, patting runners and walkers as they completed the course in support of his brother’s cancer research foundation. The 32nd annual run was held to continue the journey of Terry Fox, who decided to run across Canada when he was diagnosed with bone cancer in order to raise funds for research. Donation tallies Sunday matched last year’s total of $235,000, including a silent donation of $20,000 from a donor participating in the run for the 32nd time.
