Two teens charged in Aylmer play structure arson

OTTAWA — Gatineau police have charged two teens after an Aylmer play structure was severely damaged on Aug. 14. Two males, 14 and 17, were charged with using accelerants to burn down the play structure at the Aydelu Park. The cost of the damage was $48,643 to demolish and replace the plastic and metal parts of the play structure and to decontaminate the site. The structure at 20 Court Rd. was set on fire at about 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 14. The teens will face arson charges in the juvenile court of Quebec. twitter.com/ckaren15
