Orléans commute eases as eastbound Highway 174 reopens

East-side commuters might be in for a relatively trouble-free trip home as the city was to reopen the eastbound lanes of Highway 174 in time for the Monday afternoon rush hour. All eastbound lanes and one lane of the Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard off-ramp were expected to open by 3 p.m., the city said, though some speed restrictions are in place near the site of a sinkhole that snarled traffic and delayed drivers before its repair.
