Perth mayor gears up for OPP contract fight

The mayor of a town west of Ottawa is preparing to take on Ontario’s provincial police to secure changes to a proposed contract for local police services. Perth Mayor John Fenik last month began negotiations to replace the town’s locally run force with the Ontario Provincial Police, which runs a number of detachments across the province.
