From Jan 2001 to now in ottawa, many company have slashed many staffs, and the real estate especially hot up, what is the future? next is my personal view, welcome you to discuss.

(a). Job market, I think in the mid-term (future 1.5 years), the job market will continly down, the unemployment rate will be up above to 8%. especially in Hi-tech sector, the total hired staff in ottawa will reduce to 58000 from the peak 82000 of Oct 2000.
(b). Nortel security has been downgrade to Junk, this is very dangerous for company. I think Nortel revenue will down to 10 billion, this means nortel just need 32000 staff, but now nortel has 48000 staffs.
(c). If Nortel can not get loan from bank, what does it mean?
shutup? Split?
(d). I oberve the stock market, for most real estate stocks double from Jan 2000, corresponding to the low rate and hot real estate market, it is another bubble? check Hongkong real estate, from 1997 Asia fincial storm, down over 50%.
(e). Up to now, no company apply bankrupt among Alcatel,Ericy,Motorola,Nortel,Luccent, which is the first?
Nortel? Luccent? two junk stocks?
