OTTAWA — Taking a stand for free speech, the small Ontario township of South Stormont has voted to allow local businesses to post signs in whatever language they choose. Mayor Bryan McGillis said council voted to reiterate the right of businesses to post signs in their language of choice because government has no business telling anyone what to say. He said business owners pay property and business taxes, and they have the right to make their own decisions.
