A 29-year-old Gatineau man was arrested after a high-speed car chase that cut through the plaza of the National Gallery of Canada, the Citizen has learned. Gordon Filewych said he was going for a lunch hour walk around 12:40 p.m. on Wednesday when a small red car whizzed by, “narrowly missing several pedestrians” and Maman, the giant spider sculpture in front of the gallery.
