No indication prisoner was suicidal, special constable testifies

A special constable who was present when the shirt and bra were cut off a female prisoner said there was no indication to him that the woman was suicidal before a sergeant sliced her clothes off. Testifying at the sexual assault trial of Ottawa police Sgt. Steven Desjourdy, Special Constable Michael Bednarek said the woman was rambling, belligerent, using abusive language, resisting and assaultive but didn’t suggest she was going to harm herself while he was there.
