Mayor Jim Watson and Tory MPP Lisa MacLeod exchanged some heated tweets Sunday in advance of Tuesday’s crucial finance committee meeting about whether Ottawa should have a new casino. The Progressive Conservative MPP for Nepean-Carleton threw the first punch when she tweeted just before 1 p.m. that, “Rideau Carleton Raceway is packed right now after the South Ottawa Race Day & Flea Market. Shame #ottcity council may close it.”
