OTTAWA — The 69 year-old pilot who crashed his plane into the Ottawa River near Cumberland Tuesday afternoon had one brief thought before his plane began sinking deep into the water: “I’m in trouble.” Yvon Bedard, 69, said he was blinded by the sun and glassy water as he prepared to land the plane, an amphibious Lake LA 4200, before the crash that tore a hole in the nose of Bedard’s plane.
