Venezuelans cast their ballots in Ottawa

OTTAWA — Hundreds of Venezuelans living in Canada lined up Sunday at the country’s embassy to cast their ballots in the presidential election. Of the nearly 6,000 expats living in Canada who are registered to vote in the hotly-contested race between incumbent president Hugo Chavez and challenger Henrique Capriles, about 400 were on the list to vote in Ottawa. Polling stations were also open in Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal as well as dozens of other cities around the world.
