Family sues seniors’ home, LHIN over elderly woman’s death

OTTAWA — The family of an Ottawa woman who died after being sent to a seniors’ residence is suing the home alleging negligence. The lawsuit, filed by the family of Adele Ironmonger, accuses Valley Stream Manor of failing to provide adequate care for the 78-year-old woman, who died in 2010 of severe dehydration after three weeks at the facility.
