Accused murderer Toby Land held knife to roommate’s throat, court hears

A man accused of murder held a knife to his roommate’s throat and threatened to kill him a month before the roommate was found horrifically beaten on his couch, a court heard Wednesday. Toby Land, 28, has pleaded not guilty to the charge of second-degree murder in connection with the death of Dominic Doyon. Doyon was found dead in his Lowertown apartment in May 2009 with stab wounds through his torso and indents from a hammer in his head.
