RCMP seeks up to $250,000 in coyote fur for Mounties’ parkas

The RCMP is hunting for 2,000 pieces of thick coyote fur to warm the thin blue line. The force issued a request for proposals Friday to supply it with Canadian “coyote strips” to line the hoods of parkas issued to officers. The initial call is for 2,000 strips, with an option for 1,000 more. The estimated value is $100,000 to $250,000.
