Small Occupy Ottawa gathering in Confederation Park outnumbered by police

OTTAWA — Police outnumbered protesters Monday as members of Occupy Ottawa marked the anniversary of their occupation of Confederation Park. About a dozen people gathered around a food table in the middle of the park where Shane Davis-Young, 22, and Joe Cowen, 39 — both organizers of last year’s effort — were doling out mashed potatoes and vegan soup.
