Around Town: An eye-popping event for uplifting cause

Walking the red carpet was an uplifting experience Saturday, lined as it was with clapping and cheering teenagers conveying messages of inspiration and acceptance at the Bell Kaleidoscope of Hope Gala. The evening of dining, entertainment, prizes and auction items was held at the Hampton Inn. It raised funds for the Youth Services Bureau’s youth mental health walk-in clinic, the Royal Ottawa’s D.I.F.D. “Is it just me?” educational program and CHEO’s dialectical behaviour therapy program.
