Bi-weekly garbage collection begins Monday

OTTAWA — Weekly garbage collection is a thing of the past — curbside pick up will be every other week in Ottawa starting Monday. The City of Ottawa is encouraging residents to make a greater effort to recycle organic materials, as green bins will continue to be collected every week. Blue and black boxes will continue on a bi-weekly schedule in line with garbage collection. Yard waste will be collected with your green bin.
