Novartis suspension leaves Ottawa Hospital with no flu vaccine for patients, staff

OTTAWA — Ottawa Hospital is without a single usable dosage of the flu vaccine after its entire supply was removed to comply with a national suspension on one manufacturer’s vaccines. “We do not have vaccine in house right now, so we are waiting to get replacement vaccine,” said Dr. Kathryn Suh, associate director of infection prevention and control at Ottawa Hospital.
