Dave Brown: The women of war finally getting some long overdue attention

As the annual remembrance season starts and Canadians say thanks to those Canadians, living and dead, who answered their country’s call and committed themselves to military uniforms and orders, there has never been enough credit given to women who served. We see them sparsely scattered among the thinning ranks of veterans marching to war memorials, wearing blazers and medals, but they tend to stay in the background.
