Ottawa teen runner-up in Over The Rainbow

OTTAWA — Ottawa’s Stephanie LaRochelle just missed being given the ruby slippers Monday night in the CBC talent show Over The Rainbow. The 18 year-old came second to Danielle Wade, who was named the new Dorothy in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s theatrical production of the classic film The Wizard of Oz. Wade, 20, of LaSalle, Ont., near Windsor, begins rehearsals for the show, which opens at the Ed Mirvish Theatre in Toronto on Dec. 20. AJ Bridel of Kitchener, Ont., came third.
