‘Confused’ inspectors wrote flawed report on stage collapse: contractor

Provincial inspectors “got confused” and their report into the collapse of the massive Bluesfest stage in July 2011 is flawed, the stage owner claimed late Monday. Stephane Berger, a director of Groupe Berger, said the stage was erected under the supervision of his most experienced technicians but agreed it was not inspected by a third-party independent engineer because Bluesfest did not ask for one to be done.
