How to display Chinese characters?

How to display Chinese characters in Windows 2000 English version.

Chinese can't be displayed properly in my Chinese version application running on English version OS. But I can open Chinese text or word using MS Word or Textpad.

Any suggestions?

Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Regional Options -> General -> Set Default -> China
