OTTAWA — Tuesday’s scorcher was the warmest December day in Ottawa’s history, toppling a 30-year weather record with temperatures more late-spring than pre-Christmas. Tuesday’s high reached 17.6 C, besting the previous December high of 16.3 C set on Dec. 3, 1982. The previous record for Dec. 4 was 13.9 C, also set in 1982.
