Up Beat: 25th Annual ‘Running on Empties’ to help families in need at Christmas

Time to put those empties aside! The 25th annual Running on Empties bottle drive for the Christmas Exchange Program will be held on Saturday, Dec. 15, at all Ottawa area Beer Stores. Christmas Exchange Program volunteers, Beer Store employees and various local VIPs, politicians and city councillors will be encouraging patrons to donate their empty beer, wine and liquor bottles to help families in need. Donation boxes will also placed at each Beer Store to collect cash donations.
