Spend an evening with the volunteers of Operation Red Nose, like I did last Saturday, and it’s impossible not to be impressed with them and slightly ashamed about too many others in this city. First the impressive part. Turns out that no matter how cynical the world can appear, no matter how busy or stressed life grows, there are still hundreds willing to give their precious free time to keep our community safe.
