try HUMANE SOCIETY. the address and telephone number can be found in the yellow page (phone book). these are stray dogs, and may not be purebred, and yet they are equaly affectionate, smart, and loyal to their masters, not to mention you will be doing a kind thing to these poor creatures if you have them, for otherwise they will have to be destroyed. the cost will be minimal compared with buying a purebred from a pet store or a breeder.

plus mixed-bred dogs are usually smarter and much more hardy, and less neurotic (don't bring you troubles with neurological conditions such as incessant barking, and hereditary conditions such as disc, heart and kidney probles), surely they will bring you great joy and love.
