Kelly Egan: Mother’s cremated remains ‘looked like a packed lunch’

An Ottawa woman is livid after she was denied a chance to say farewell to her deceased mother before the cremation in October, only to discover days later that an approving signature was apparently forged on legal documents. Kristin Jonsdottir, 42, has lodged a complaint with Ontario’s Board of Funeral Services about the treatment by Ottawa Cremation Service and its operator, David Zaremba. She has also contacted Ottawa police.
