However much the city’s tax hike in 2013 might hurt your bank account, it’s probably hurting Cumberland Coun. Stephen Blais’s wallet more. He’s preparing to write cheques to charities amounting to 10 per cent of his own pay, living up to a promise he made running for office in 2010 to keep tax hikes below the rate of inflation.
