As she munched on turkey and trimmings Tuesday, and nibbled at the dessert, the thought that this might be her last Christmas dinner at Ottawa’s Newport Restaurant filled Valerie Murphy with sadness. A Newport regular for 20 years, Murphy has come to view the place as a second home at Christmas, and may never be the same again without owner Moe Atallah and his band of volunteers for company.
