Local businesses offer food, clothes, and services to support Theresa Spence’s hunger

Two Ottawa businesses are donating their time and services to help Attawapiskat Chief Theresa Spence as she continues to her hunger strike for aboriginal treaty rights. Lara Purvis, 33, the floor manager at Venus Envy on Lisgar St. near Bank St., says when she saw a tweet from Spence requesting a list of goods, it took her “about 12 seconds” to decide it was time to help.
