Planning committee approves controversial Kanata condo

The latest version of a condominium proposed for 2 The Parkway in Beaverbrook got unanimous approval from city council’s planning committee Monday, over the objections of the area’s councillor. Kanata North Coun. Marianne Wilkinson tried to get the planned seven-storey building cut to five, on the grounds that a shorter building would fit the area better, but not one of her colleagues went along, rejecting her motion unanimously.
