In Canada the majority of media coverage devoted to illegal activity focuses on behaviour that is criminal in nature. The prevalence of crime reporting reflects societies collective concern with conduct that carries a high level of moral blameworthiness. It should be noted however that despite the predominance of crime reporting, most of the laws broken in our country are not criminal.
