Parks Canada reduces proposed new canal fees, restores passes

It didn’t take long for Parks Canada to blink. The agency has backed away from a proposed new fee structure for Rideau Canal boaters that would have eliminated existing passes and replaced them with a system requiring boaters to purchase between two and four tickets to pass through each lock.
