Question: We have two cats and last year one of them was diagnosed with feline infectious peritonitis and we had to put her down when she was in the final stages of the disease. At about the same time, we had our other cat (a male) tested for FIP and he also tested positive. Since he was not showing any signs of the disease, our veterinarian told us to monitor his condition and he also recommended that we not get another cat.
