There are some recs and experiences that I have posted in the other column.Hope they will be helpful to you.
Few recs:
1.Don't come up to the fat woman officer. She was so tough that all the applicants were refused at the morning I went to apply for the visa of leisure.
2.Please be sure that you have got all official proofs such as a)your student status;b)the latest 3 months bank notice which indicate that you have enough deposit to support your travel;c)4 passport photos which are taken recently;d)your offical transcript proof letter and in-school proof letter;d)US$100 in cash or money draft(cash is strongly recommended);e)itinerary or schedule for your trip in US(you can get it from any travel agency in Ottawa);f)passport(for sure)
Some tips:
Be on time,be patient and please be polite even the officer asks you uncomfortable questions. They are not friendly for the applicants coz they think most of them intend to stay in U.S.Don't be nervous if you cannot hear the questions clearly(there is a thick glass between you and the officer),ask the officer to repeat the questions politely.
And last thing:good luck.
If everything goes smoothly,it will take you 1-2 hours to get check done and you can pick up the visa that afternoon if you go to the embassy early morning.
Again,good luck to you guys!
