Lawyer of woman who gave birth in Ottawa jail quits case

A Cornwall woman who gave birth in an Ottawa jail was shocked to hear during her Thursday morning court appearance that her lawyer might not continue to represent her. “Oh my God, No!” Julie Bilotta said in a Cornwall court Thursday after her lawyer, Donald Johnson, told the court he’d received “disturbing information” that would make it difficult for him to continue to represent her.
