A kitchen fire at a Chinese restaurant Sunday morning caused an estimated $200,000 in damage and left up to five people homeless. Ottawa Fire Services received a 911 call reporting that there was smoke visible in the basement of Ju Xiang Juan, which is located at 639 Somerset St. W.
