Hey everybody! I'm new to fish hawk but not new to fishing. I can't wait untill that openning day...u know, for bass!!! I have to admit i did some fishing a week ago for smallmouth(catch and release only...who would want to eat a bass?), and i did alright.
I have a question for some of you who fish the kawartha's. i'm entering a tournament, a junior tournie(ages 15 -1, on Sturgeon Lake. The tournament is on July 12th and will be bringing my boat in on the 11th for some pre-fishing. I was wondering if any of you could share with me some of the famous weedbeds, drop-offs, and other structures. By no means am i asking you to share your hotspots.
You could also just go to the Map Project Forum on fish hawk and tell me where on the map all these structures are. The tournie is in Bobcaygeon if anyone is interested.
Thx for your help.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You actually admit that you targeted fish out of season? Fishig for Bass out of season can get you a fine up to $100 000.
There is a reason why there is a season to Bass. Bass at this time of year are protecting their nests and will attack anything that comes near. No wonder you did good fishing out of season. Yes you did practice catch and release but what about the hundreds of fry that got snapped up by the gills while you where catching and releasing your Bass. I read a recent study that showed the 50% of Bass caught and released while protecting beds do not return to the nest. This study showed that the pre-season catch and release Bass fishing by a few people is destroying the Bass fishery in several lakes.
I hope no one shares any information with you as you have killed more than your share of fish already this year. It is the so called fisherman like you that are destroying the fishery here. I really hope that the MNR is reading your post and tracks you down.
Do us all a favor and think seriously before you head out for your next pre season bass fishing trip.
Sorry for getting angry but the more that I think about the more that it ticks me off.
