I agree Asian Carp is too aggressive and do bad to other species. However, as a matter of fact, they are already there (though some hate Asia introduces them to North America).
If the government does need to do something wth carp, I am sure they will do it.
For ourselves, don't kill too much.

By the way, some of my posts regarding bass fishing is not intended to blame anyboday. The primary purpose is to remind people who don't know the fact that they could be in big big trouble if they fish bass until the season is open.
I don't think there is much "research" for fishing, personally. For people who want to get some information, here is the link I would like to recommend:

We are not a professional angler, at least I am not. As far as I have fun when fishing with friends, that is already what I want.
For a beginner, the best way is going fishing with friends at the beginning. That is better than learing from "books".
Again, personally, I like carp as we have an idiom in China "Yu2 Yue4 Long2 Meng2".
