Elise’s Little Explorers Daycare provides a safe, loving environment where children feel at ease to explore the world around them and nurture their creative and natural instincts for learning. In addition to CPR and First Aid, I hold a certificate for the National Childcare training and have attended many workshops to ensure I am extremely up to date in children developments philosophies and development.
I believe that children learn through play, music and adventures. I promote the development of gross and fine motor skills, linguistics, social interactions, artistic exploration and healthy eating, and the awareness of the world through celebrating seasons and holidays. I help children achieve these goals through weekly developmentally-appropriate activities of:
• Attending a local playgroup to encourage socialization
• Visiting museums (Nepean Arts Museum, Agriculture Museum, Nature Museum, and Aviation museum)
• Outdoor adventures as feeding birds, watching caterpillars, trail-exploring, playing at local parks.
• Daily indoor activities including stories, puzzles and games, arts and crafts
• Celebrating special events, including birthdays, holiday-specific themes and international festivals
I take photos of children’s activities, and folder them for each child for their parents. At Elise’s Little Explorers Daycare, your child will have lots of stories to tell you at your dinner table!
