Please suggest some car models.

This is the first time that I think about buying a car. My select critria:
1. New car.
2. Safe.
3. Not bigger than Honda Accord.
4. Price < $35,000.
5. Gas consuming shouldn't be too high.
6. I don't care much about performance such as speeding up from 0 to 100km in 5 seconds.
7. I don't like Golf or Wagon, but Jeep is acceptable.
I have only driven for one year. Is there anyone able to give me some suggestion?

$28000: loaded Chrysler Intripid 3.5L?
$30000: Buick Lesabre 3.8L
$35000~40000: Ford Crown Victoria >4.2L V8 (+ polica option that is a Police car, you can not find a same price car safer than this one, The policeman use use model hit and stopped tons of other cars on the road in North America).

车大车小只是习惯问题，而车小与安全总是矛盾的。Accord已经够小的了，难道你想买Civic或Corolla！如果是这样，还问什么？

Hehe, all the cars are bigger than human, this is the first time I heard that man is too small to handle a car. For any car the space is always small. So the huge the better. a car must have space to put a sky set, a tent, two chairs, a portable stove (for BBQ)and other things. If you just want shopping and work, 12000CAD chevolet Cavalier is enough.
most of compact car's suspension system are not 4 wheel independent, but for mid size or full size, that is almost standard. Most compact cars don't have ABS and traction control, but for Ottawa, thing the icy road after a freezing rain, no ABS and traction control means no basic safety, that is why lots of spining cars are compact model, I saw a Camry spining on 417 last winter, a wonderful 540 degree spin in heavy traffic 110km/h road, I don't think it's a safe car.

Beetle is very comfortable, and the audio system is great, tons of safety features such as side/head airbags. only 2 door, better for 2 person, possible for 4 but no place to carry anything.
It's a good secend/winter car. If you have a famify or want to go out for travel and sport, it's too small.

I know the bigger the safer. Lincon SUV is Yao Ming's favorite car. But I may not able to see the road if I drive it. I don't like corolla or civic either. Now I am driving a Honda Accord. It takes time for me to get familar to its size, since it is bigger than the one I used to learn how to drive. Also, I don't ski, and as a lady, I don't think I have the chance to carry a BBQ stove.

Just follow your list priority, if you put the priority of small size greater than safe, I won't give you this list, things are totally different.


The fact is most SUVs are driven by women driver in Canada.

For a new car to get familar only need half day, but you will drive it for years.

If you don't want change, then buy another accord.(BTW, accord is changing every year, none of them is same, so you'd better buy a same year same model accord.) Good luck.

For a new car to get familar only need half day, but you will drive it for years.

SUV的话试试JEEP的Liberty
JETTA和PASST也都是不错的选择
如果考虑省油的话
特别是JETTA TDI
柴油发动机，柴油比汽油便宜
而且一箱柴油能跑1000多公里
就是在速度上比不过汽油发动机
不过你不在乎速度性能
也就无所谓了
如果想要好看的女性车
MINI COOPER也是不错的选择
如果着重考虑安全的话
VOLVO S40首选
安全性能测试评比中
VOLVO的乘客位置安全性是第一
驾驶员位置第一的是AUDI
不过AUDI税前35000是没可能的
税前基本要40000左右

I don't think a car <$35000CDN can run 0-100kilo in under 5 seconds in any cases.

What I would suggest, beetle is nice for lady but the price can be very cheap and it depriciates faster than same class of models since not all people like the look of the beetle. If I were you, I will get a Mini(since it's smalle and great handling).

Yes, it's possible. There is a new model line up for Audi A4 2003. It's called A4 CVT(Front Wheel Drive only), which is around 33~34K before tax and it claimed to be more savings on gasline. BTW, CVT stands for Continuous Variable Transmission.

The prices for Honda CR-V and Jeep Liberty are similar. How about other aspects, such as gas consuming. In my opinion, Jeep Liberty is more beautiful.

JETTA系列是首选，又小，又安全，操控还好，又省油（TDI），还是4门后面能坐人，做工，内饰也很漂亮，又是得国车。
