Revised forecast calls for more snow than freezing rain

Three weeks into spring and Environment Canada has issued a winter storm watch for Eastern Ontario, warning “treacherous” weather may be on the way for Thursday and into Friday. The storm watch was issued Wednesday as a series of low pressure systems head into the region, colliding with a mass of cold air coming from the north to produce a risk of ice pellets and large amounts of snow.
