Visitors will enjoy guided dynamic mediation class from 2:30 pm to 3:00 PM by Lalith Gunaratne, an expert teacher on meditation.
On display are seven of the world’s beautiful statues of the Awakened One, The Buddha, to celebrate his message of peace.

•Awards: May 25, 2013, 7:00 pm. – 8:30 pm.
•Lantern Last day to pickup - May 26 2013, 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm
Prizes will be given to Three most attractive lanterns will be selected for their creativity to the concept of the occasion in the following categories. Kids (4 to 11 years); Junior (12 to 19 years); Senior (Over 19 years - individual, or teams) for the best Lantern from each category.
All participants will be awarded a certificate by the Cambodian temple.
Guidelines & Eligibility: To be eligible to participate in Vesak Lantern Exhibition and competition you must be over 4 years as of May 1, 2013, and live in Ottawa. Creativity to the concept of the occasion.
Cost: Free to enter
As this is a juried exhibition, it is possible that some of the work submitted may not be selected for the show. Available exhibition space as well as standard artistic criteria is taken into consideration by the jury.
